Health, Safety & Maintenance Manager

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Maintenance Manager to join us. This key role combines responsibility for health, safety, and environmental compliance with the management of site maintenance and facilities.
You’ll lead a small maintenance team, oversee equipment reliability and building upkeep, as well as ensuring a safe, compliant working environment across all the site.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safelty & Environmental
- Lead and develop the site's health, safety and environmental systems (HSE)
- Conduct risk assessments, audits and accident investigations, ensure all actions are followed up
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance for machinery, fabrication equipment and building facilities
- Oversee statutory inspections (PUWER, LOLER, LEV, PAT etc)
- Control mainenance budgets, contractors and spare parts inventory
- Deliver safety training, inductions and toolbox talks to all staff
- Drive continuous improvement in safety culture, equipment reliability and energy efficiency
About You
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment essential
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and engineering maintenance practices
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
- Engineering or technical background (mechanical or electrical)
- Confident communicator and hands-on leader
